Our health and safety policy

At SMG Soudure, we protect our personnel and our equipment by investing in the prevention of occupational diseases and injuries in the workplace. Good health and safety work procedures are an integral part of our daily operations.

To uphold this commitment, we provide and maintain a safe work environment. We are committed to being a proactive leader and exceeding legislative standards. Among other things, by eliminating any foreseeable danger that could lead to occupational illnesses, injuries or damage to property.

Prevent accidents together

We are convinced that accidents/incidents can be controlled by good management which includes the active participation of employees. Excellence in occupational health and safety can only be achieved through excellent cooperation between the employer and its staff.

No deviation and/or non-compliance with health and safety laws will be tolerated, and this at all hierarchical levels of the company. All loss prevention requirements of our businesses are the responsibility of all staff members.

All levels of supervisors have personal and individual responsibility for the safety and that of those under their command.

Every employee has a personal obligation to observe safe work procedures and to report any unsafe working conditions. He must report any possibility of a potential or actual accident to his supervisor, his health and safety representative and to management personnel.

All contractors performing work for our companies must comply with established health and safety policies and procedures.

Safety is part of our daily obligations.

We are registered with the CSST (Quebec) and the WSIB CSPAAT (Ontario).
